Support Volume

As anticipated, our support team is experiencing a high volume of inquiries related to the transition to Proxmox and the simultaneous start of the fall academic term. Please consult the documentation for guidance and review the known issues before submitting a support ticket. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

Advisory D1411

Please run the NDG PVE Post Install Script to version 0.7 or later. This script creates new Proxmox CPU types to support content that uses “nested” hypervisors such VMware, Promxox, and Hyper-V running on top of Proxmox bare metal hosts. NDG will begin updating its distributed virtual machines as required to make use of these new CPU types. Failure to re-run this script may result in unknown CPU compatibility issues with virtual machines that use nested hypervisors. This is a one-time operation that only needs to be performed on each Proxmox cluster.

Introducing NETLAB+ Version 25

Recent changes in VMware vSphere licensing present a challenge for many of our customers. To address this NDG has developed NETLAB+ version 25, which introduces support for Proxmox.

Achieving a stable release is our highest priority. In the interim, we recommend that clients who are not impacted by VMware license expirations continue to use the stable NETLAB+ version 24. For those transitioning to Proxmox, our development team is focused on expediting the stabilization of version 25.

  • NETLAB+ VE version 25 contains over 300,000 lines of new code to support Proxmox backends.

  • This release may contain known issues and bugs.

  • Before submitting a bug report, please check the known issues.

  • Please send feedback and bug reports to support@netdevgroup.com.
