NDG VM Distribution System¶
Under Construction
Please pardon the dust while we work on the new documentation.
The NDG VM Distribution System is a centralized repository for virtual machine images and content used in various NDG courses and labs. It allows administrators to easily obtain virtual machines images.
The system is divided into multiple storage connections, each identified by a unique
storage id and namespace. Each storage connection contains a set of virtual machine
images and content that can be accessed by users with the appropriate permissions.
Some namespaces are available to all users, while others may require verified membership
in a specific course or program.
Note
The NDG VM Distribution System is currently in development. Since the system uses Proxmox VE Backup Server (PBS) to store and distribute virtual machine images, only virtual machines designed for use with Proxmox VE are supported at this time.
