Virtual Machine Infrastructure (VMI) refers to the combination of hardware and software that allows you to create, run, and manage virtual machines. A virtual machine is essentially a software emulation of a physical computer system. It runs its own operating system and applications, just like a physical machine, but it shares the physical hardware resources of a host computer.
